Today the World Changes

For some time now I’ve known the world is upon the brink of great change.    The Sleeper Awakens.  The great collective unconscious is becoming conscious.  We have a say in our lives and people, I believe, are waking up to that.  This is a good thing.

This whole election thing going on in the United States is unfolding like a great myth.  The symbolism is everywhere.  I would hasten to say that Barack Obama is one symbol of that change.  He represents the new wine and John McCain, the old.  In fact, I think Barack is the Black version of John F. Kennedy. I watched last night as I saw pictures of his white grandmother with arms around his neck.  What I saw was the union of Black and White in one man.

I’ve always disliked this race thing anyway.  I grew up believing we are all related.  Which of course, we are.  Ideally, I desire all people to realize that.  Maybe we won’t need to be invaded by aliens to understand that no matter the color and sizes we come in here on planet earth, we are one people, one planet with one future.

We are all related.  Every one of us.  We are all connected.   Scientifically we’ve all been linked to one black woman in Africa, Eve. Below is an excerpt for that program from the Discovery Channel:

The Real Eve DVD The Real Eve DVD

See what the Houston Chronicle called, “a provocative scientific exploration…to keep you watching and wondering.”Narrated by actor Danny Glover, “The Real Eve” reveals that our shared genetic heritage links every living person on earth and traces the expansion of modern humans throughout the world. The discovery of the Eve gene stunned the world. It seems we could all be descended from just a few females – or even just one. In this telling anthropological video, we access the very latest DNA reconstructions, and for the first time, tell conclusively the story of where, when and how the human race came about and then populated the world.Presented in 16:9 widescreen format.

This video is fascinating and puts forth my view that we are all related.  The time has come to put down the prejudices of the past and realize that everyone living on this planet is not only our neighbor, but our relative.

We’re being given a great chance today.  A chance to be a part of the world changing.  A chance to right some wrongs.

Blessings to all who seek and welcome change.  And blessings to those who don’t.

We’re all in this together regardless.
